Established by ex HM Forces Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers in 2005 to provide equipment support to health care providers, Avensys UK Ltd has gone from strength to strength, now maintaining a wide range medical equipment for customers located throughout the United Kingdom.

Our Experience

Avensys UK Ltd have had a direct involvement in writing the UK’s National Occupational Standards for Medical Equipment Servicing for SEMTA (the Sector Skills Council for Science, Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies in the UK). We deliver all biomedical equipment training programmes at the former NHS National Training Facility, Falfield (Eastwood Park) and are heavily involved in the development and delivery of Kingston University’s Medical Equipment Technology Foundation Degree. Our offering to customers both past and present remains constant; we offer through life equipment management procedures, which reduces costs and minimises staff and patient risk.

We employ a team of highly skilled and experienced biomedical technicians to deliver maintenance and repair work on a wide and varied range of equipment from BP Monitors to Anaesthetic Machines, from Dental Equipment to X-ray. Each engineer is mobile in nature and acts as a node in our now national network of technicians, allowing us to deliver prompt emergency response to customers.

Whilst the medical equipment industry is huge in scale, we have found that time and time again, shortfalls in expertise and independent advice limit the options available to clinical teams. With over 75 years of combined medical equipment experience, our links to industry and considerable subject knowledge ensure real choice throughout.

Online Equipment Database

Ongoing investment has seen the development of a bespoke equipment database. A key tool for both our staff and customers alike, the engineering history of every item is presented via a secure web browser and available for viewing and download 24/7.

Certifications & Standards

All equipment is serviced and maintained as per manufacturers guidelines and/or statutory requirements (Medical Equipment: IEC 60601, Lab Equipment: IEC 61010). Portable Applicance Testing (PAT) as detailed by the Electrical Safety at Work Regulations 1989 and Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. All electrical equipment tested in accordance with MDA DB 2006 (05), BSEN 60601-1 and the manufacturer’s own guidelines. We are an ISO 9001:2008 registered company..
