The NUS Apprenticeship Card
As part of our Level 2 Healthcare Science Apprenticeship, Level 3 Medical Engineering Apprenticeship and Level 4 Healthcare Science Apprenticeship we are proud to offer the NUS Apprenticeship Card as an added benefit to our students.
Apprenticeship programmes are a great way to nurture talent as part of a succession planning strategy whilst building expertise. Creating talented engineers are vital to the future success of medical and clinical engineering and there is no better way to do this than with an Apprenticeship.
The NUS Apprentice Extra card has been developed by the National Union of Students and offers apprentices many of the same discounts as other students. The card provides discounts on a variety of essentials from more than 140 high street and online retail partners. Discounts are available on travel, sport, books and DVD, technology, mobile and broadband, as well as fashion, beauty and going out!
For just £11 for 12 months, students will get discounts from the likes of The Co-op, Amazon, Dominoes, Alton Towers, New Look and much much more! All you need to do is choose Avensys UK Ltd from the provider list, enter a few details and your card will be with you within 7 working days, all ready for you to start saving!
Still not sure?
The Avensys Apprenticeship courses are the perfect start to a career in Clinical Engineering, providing opportunities to those that are already working in the industry to gain formal qualifications for roles they currently hold, enabling them to adapt and expand their skill set.
If the NUS card isn’t enough, the government has committed to significantly increase the spending on apprenticeships in England by 2019-2020, putting an apprenticeship levy in place. This requires employers with annual pay bills more than £3 million to put aside 0.5% of their pay bill to fund new apprenticeships. Employers with annual pay bills under £3 million are required to make a 10% contribution of the apprenticeship costs, which is agreed with the training provider!
