Covering LOLER regulations, MHRA guidance, IEC standards, and manufacturer’s information, the course includes theory and hands-on activities, such as visual inspections, performance verification, load tests, and safety checks. Delegates gain practical experience with patient hoists aligning with the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) for servicing patient transfer devices. Ideal for medical engineering staff, this course ensures compliance and confidence in maintaining a variety of patient hoists effectively.

On conclusion of the course the learners will be able to:
- To equip learners with a comprehensive understanding of the engineering principles of patient hoists.
- Enable learners to perform inspection, testing, fault diagnosis, and servicing of patient hoists in compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and manufacturers’ guidelines, including the approved code of practice.
