First Avensys Training course at the new Institute of Technology

A year in the planning, Avensys’ partnership with the Black Country and Marches Institute of Technology has come to fruition today as Avensys trainers delivered the first course at this fantastic new facility.

As the Avensys Training Academy has grown over the years, we began to outgrow the existing training facility at the Head Office site in Kidderminster, and so the search was on for new larger premises.

However, as we started to make enquiries into the options available, a relationship was forged with the Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ Dudley College of Technology in which Avensys would deliver Apprenticeships in partnership with the college. This partnership meant that students would benefit from the best of both worlds – the medical device expertise of Avensys’ world-class training division, and the experience of Dudley College of Technology in delivering academic subjects such as maths and physics.

The partnership proved such a success that a further partnership was developed between Avensys and the Black Country and Marches Institute of Technology. The new multi-million-pound facility offered the perfect space for Avensys to expand into, and now sees the Avensys Training Academy located on the third floor of the building from which we deliver all of our short courses.

The increase in space has enabled us to expand our own suite of training rooms which now include dedicated Hospital Ward, Theatre, Dental and Diagnostic Imaging rooms as well as several large classrooms. This expansion represents an investment of hundreds of thousands in medical devices and training aids which enable us to improve and develop our already world-class learning capabilities.
