Clinical Engineering Apprentice of the Year!

Congratulations to Avensys Junior Engineer Zain Ramzan who has won the Paul Austin Clinical Engineering Apprentice of the Year award. The fantastic news was announced at the EBME Expo 2024 where Zain stepped up to receive the award.

Many nominations were received from the NHS and private sector from which Zain was shortlisted in the top four candidates, ultimately going on to receive the award.

This award is presented to an apprentice who has provided a significant contribution to their department or team or has been outstanding in all aspects of their training and demonstrates practical capability and potential. Zain’s nomination highlighted how well he collaborates with colleagues as well as how well he is received on customer sites. Although he is in a learning role, Zain has taken on a mentorship role, sharing his knowledge and expertise with fellow apprentices.

Fantastic news and very much deserved – congratulations Zain! Well done also to all the other candidates who form part of the next generation of bio-medical engineers.
