Eitan Medical promises rapid infusion pump implementation for those affected by MHRA alert

Eitan Medical UK is offering a range of rapid delivery and training options to enable NHS Trusts affected by the recent MHRA National Patient Safety Alert (NatPSA/2021/001/MHRA) to implement its trusted and reliable SapphireTM Multi-Therapy Ambulatory Infusion Pump as quickly as possible. Avensys are Eitan Medical’s recognised technical support centre for the UK, Ireland and Italy.

The Sapphire infusion pumps are already used across many NHS Trusts and the flexible device can deliver continuous, piggyback, intermittent, multi-step, PCA, epidural and TPN infusion treatments, whether in hospital or at home.

The device uses patented Flow Control Technology to deliver +/- 2.5% accuracy. It is also very user-friendly, thanks to its easy set-up and maintenance, intuitive touchscreen control and its compact, lightweight design.

Sapphire provides a wide range of infusion solutions that may be suitable for departments, such as ICU, NICU, PICU, theatre and recovery, obstetrics, medical surgical units, oncology, transfusion and general ward, including general IV infusion sets and specialist sets with filters, back check valves, UV resistance, and for blood.

Eitan Medical UK established a new UK office in 2020 and its team of experienced infusion therapy experts have developed a rapid delivery and training programme, along with high quality clinical and technical support. Competency-based training is available as a live, customised demonstration, online via its excellent Learning Management System (LMS) and through video guides and quick-user guides.

Kean Crispin, UK Sales Director for Eitan Medical UK, commented: “We know that the process of finding and embedding a new supplier into your trust can seem daunting – especially when time is of the essence.

“The SapphireTM Multi-Therapy Ambulatory Infusion Pump is known for being flexible, reliable and easy-to-use, but that really is just part of the story. When we established our UK operation, we put customer support at the very centre and we’ve spent the last year developing a market leading clinical and technical support package. Partnering with Avensys, a trusted medical engineering company, means that customers can be sure of the best possible support while using the Sapphire pumps. That means we can quickly support new customers to embed our infusion solutions into their trust thanks to rapid delivery and high-quality training, and we provide best-in-class clinical and technical support as part of our reliability promise, to ensure that we continue to meet the infusion needs of our customers for the long-term.”

Eitan Medical can guarantee quality within every step of our manufacturing process, with complete in-house execution.
