This month, the Avensys Training Academy has launched a brand new ‘Human Factors’ training course.

Human Factors Training focuses on optimising human performance, by studying factors that can influence us as human beings and then considering how this affects our performance in our day-to-day lives, as well as in the workplace.

The core topics of Human Factors apply across all organisations and while Avensys specialise in solutions for the healthcare industry, we can also tailor our delivery to any Safety Critical Organisation using relevant industry-based case studies and current hot topics.

Tailoring your course helps provoke discussions, giving participants a better understanding of Human Factors in their daily roles to maximise safety and efficiency for your organisation.

Training is ‘human orientated’ and delivered in person. Mixed groups help to emphasise the “bigger picture” across any organisation; by considering co-workers different perspectives, learners can find ways to improve teamwork. We use this learning to identify different human error types and their causes allowing us to:

  • Reduce error inducing situations
  • Improve defences against human error
  • Promote effective risk-based decisions

Avensys Resale

This month, you may have been seeing posts about our Resale service. Medical devices can become surplus to requirement for many reasons including the purchase of updated models or the merging of facilities.

While many may choose to send these devices to auction, there are risks associated with this option. Auction houses will sell your devices as seen, regardless of whether they are working or not. This means that damaged or broken devices can potentially re-enter the health system elsewhere in the world, putting patients at risk.

At Avensys, our Resale Service offers a safer and more profitable alternative. We will service and warranty your surplus medical equipment, ensuring that it is safe to use no matter where it ends up in the world. Plus, because all equipment is sold with a warranty, buyers are prepared to pay a higher price than they would at auction, resulting in more profit for you.

The best part? There is no contract necessary, so you can try our Resale Service with no risk. Don’t let your surplus medical equipment go to waste. Contact Avensys today sales@avensysmedical.co.uk to discover more about our Resale Service and how we can help you maximise equipment profits whilst keeping patients safe.
